Rhonda Moorefield is a long time Asheville resident practicing family law and criminal law and offering mediation services to attorneys in Western North Carolina. Rhonda received her Juris Doctor degree in May, 2002 from Stetson University College of Law, St. Petersburg, Florida. She holds her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Western Carolina University in 1996 where she graduated cum laude and majored in management. She received her AS in Business Administration, with a minor in paralegal studies from Polk Community College in Winter Haven, Florida in 1978.
In 2003, Rhonda partnered with Bill McDowall to form the firm of McDowall & Moorefield. Rhonda focuses her practice on Family and Criminal Law. She is certified by the NC Dispute Resolution Committee as a Certified Family Financial Mediator. Rhonda is experienced in both the Criminal and Civil sections of Superior and District State Courts, Small Claims, Special Proceedings before the Clerk, and in Juvenile Court. Rhonda is admitted to practice in all North Carolina State Courts, in the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina (Federal), the United States District Court for the Fourth District Court of Appeals (Federal) and the United States Supreme Court. Rhonda entered the legal profession as a paralegal in 1991.
