Criminal–State
All three attorneys are experienced in state criminal matters handling traffic offenses, misdemeanors and felonies. We understand how confusing and overwhelming the legal system can be and appreciate the opportunity to get you through this difficult time. If you suspect you are going to be charged with a crime, talk with us before you talk with law enforcement. If you are charged or arrested, remain silent until you speak with a competent criminal defense attorney. Flat Fees are determined by the nature of the offense.

Criminal–Federal
Attorneys McDowall and Moorefield are licensed to practice in federal courts from the Western District of North Carolina, all the way to the United States Supreme Court. The Federal system is a unique area of criminal defense and we are well equipped to represent you in this legal arena. Family Law–Separation, Divorce, Custody, Equitable Distribution, Mediation
One of the most trying times in a persons life is when discord happens in a marriage. All three of our attorneys are experienced in family law matters and can get you through this most difficult time. Buncombe County has been designated by North Carolina as a Family Court District and, as such, we have different rules to go by in handling your case. Mediation is now mandatory in both child custody and equitable distribution cases in several Western North Carolina districts, including Buncombe County.

Attorney Roda is a Certified Mediator and is available to mediate family law disputes for Western North Carolina cases.

Fees are based on the individual case.

Most cases are taken on a contingency fee basis. This means that you owe no attorneys fees until we successfully collect money on your behalf. Our fees are based on a reasonable percentage of the money collected plus reimbursement of any out-of-pocket costs. All negotiations are handled by an attorney, not a paralegal.
